Lots of large ants, so I would advise wearing enclosed shoes.

There is an elevated lookout platform at the sunrise car park, including a shade structure with seating.

Didn’t see many rubbish bins either, so be prepared to take your rubbish back to Yulara or whichever other place you started out from.

Sunrise viewing was a bit busy but in my opinion was a tolerable level of crowding - crowd was able to spread out across a large area.

Toilets are available at the sunrise car park and the cultural centre.

Facilities vary, depending which part of the Rock you are visiting.

Definitely a seventh wonder of the world. The geographical history is amazing but for me the spiritual history is what makes this area of the world a wonder of the world. I highly recommend guided tours to get the run down on the Australian Aboriginals' teachings and beliefs of how this area came to be.

The park is an amazing experience, jaw dropping views, lots of history, and well marked. It's just far from anything so you're left with staying at the Ayers Rock Resort, which is nice but can be expensive, or driving hours from Alice Springs. Also, in the summer, the park is HOT, like it was 38°C when I went in November. I would try to do any walks between sunrise and 11-12, after that it's just too hot. Actually, I highly recommend biking around Uluru. You can rent one from the Culture Center for $45 and it makes for an fun way to get around the Rock. There can be lots of tourists and everyone is fighting for good photo spots. If you want a good sunrises or sunset view get there early.

Flies were not too bad in early morning but I am willing to bet they are plentiful during the day.

Incredible, much more than a rock, especially when you get up close to it. So much more details, waterholes, paintings and aboriginal history to it. The rock definitely holds a special energy and is one of a kind. The nearby Olga's are just as special. Highly recommended. A true wonder of the world. Looks amazing whatever the weather.

Didn’t see many drinking taps (counted one at Sunrise lookout, might have missed some at cultural centre), so I’d suggest you bring your own water or other drinks (tea, coffee) with you.

Look I guess u had to be there. Entry fees very high. Visitors centre, don't expect too much and the amenities can't cope even remotely with the amount of people. I personally loved Kata Tjuta even more than Uluru. Great walks, beautiful scenery but at times just too many people and everyone wants to be heard. People just enjoy the silence and peacefulness.
